Here on the bluffs, overlooking the surf, it's a magnificent view, rather, many magnificent views. You can walk along the bluffs and take in the, (read breathtaking), spectacle of waves crashing against the rugged shoreline. Such power is hard to behold without philosophizing. Here I saw Gilbert Todd, our field trip leader doing just that.

Directions:
North of Bowling Ball Beach, (Point Arena), just a few miles up Highway 1, turn left onto Lighthouse Road. Go until you reach the sharp right turn, (that leads to the light house). Find a place near the turn, to park off the road. There's public property through the "gate" in the fence, an opening designed to keep the cattle form getting out.
