Ken Light: Witness to Our Time

From February 8 through March 1, Viewpoint will feature a retrospective exhibit by acclaimed social documentary photographer Ken Light. In addition to his many publications, Light has exhibited internationally in over 175 one-person and group shows; taught workshops at the ICP in New York City, The Missouri Photo Workshop, and the School for Photographic Studies in Prague and Baltimore; and received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships. Currently, Light is curator of the Center for Photography at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California Berkeley. |

This workshop, instructed by Judith Monroe, explores traditional and contemporary approaches to handcoloring photographs. Participants will get hands-on experience applying various media onto traditional and digital photographs, including colored pencils, oils, watercolors, and more.
