Call for Entries: Viewpoint Gallery 2008-09 - CLOSED

Viewpoint is now accepting proposals for consideration for the 2008 and 2009 exhibit seasons. Submissions are open to all interested photographers, including but not limited to Viewpoint members. The deadline for submissions is August 4, 2007.

The Viewpoint Gallery exhibits a wide range of photographic work created by chemical, digital, and historical/alternative processes. The gallery has 80 linear feet of exhibit space and can display from 30 to 40 matted 16x20-inch prints.

Process for Submission:

1. Submissions must be in digital format on a CD. The Curatorial Committee will not accept slides or prints during the initial review. Finalists for consideration will be asked to submit sample exhibition prints at a later date.
2. A representative selection of 15 to 20 images is best. Submissions should not exceed 25 images.
3. Save image files in high-quality JPEG format at 100 ppi, with the longest dimension at 700 pixels.
4. Write your name, phone number, and email address on the CD itself. (Please do not attach adhesive labels to the CD.)
5. Include on the CD as separate text files: a biography or resume (including name, address, phone number, and email address), an artist’s statement, and a brief description of the images, including final print format (i.e. gelatin silver, digital, etc.) and approximate print size.
6. Before sending the CD, please verify that your image files open properly.
