As part of its 2008 Outreach Program, the Educational Outreach Committee presents Adobe Lightroom for Beginners, a workshop by Viewpoint member and accomplished digital photographer David L. Robertson (www.photographybydlr.com). All proceeds from the workshop will go to Viewpoint.

Dave will take attendees through the process of importing camera raw files into Lightroom, making adjustments to the imported files, and then exporting to Photoshop for final, localized adjustments, sharpening, and printing. He will also discuss the Printing, Slideshow, and Web modules of Lightroom. By the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will have an understanding of the benefits of Lightroom in a digital workflow process.  Shortcuts to navigating around Lightroom will be presented, as well as a list of resources for those who want to delve more deeply into Lightroom.

Those with both Lightroom and a laptop computer should feel free to bring them to the workshop, but it is not necessary to do so. If you have not yet purchased Lightroom, you can download a 30-day trial version www.adobe.com/products/photoshoplightroom.  Just make sure you don't download it until after March 1 so that you can still use it at the workshop.

No payments will be accepted on the day of the workshop. The registration form and instructions for payment are available here. Please use that form to enroll. Space is limited, so early registration is advised.
