Two bottles, two hues, a bit of imagination and with a touch of passion this creative expression soon begins to take on a life of its own...

On a quest to create images reflecting her enthrallment with form, composition, color and the magic that occurs when light is added to the mix, Debra Ledsinger collects two souvenir bottles; one filled with green shampoo and the other containing blue bubble bath from the Komaneka Resort in Ubud, Bali.  Color and composition alone carry the initial shots against the simple white background.  Fascination with these results prompts an internal inquisition for Ledsinger: "What would happen... if the light source was varied, if an aluminum foil or iridescent wrapping paper backdrop was used, or if she added even more color?"

Without the aid of digital image manipulation, this body of work displays Ledsinger's passion for the exploration of the unknown, zeal for color, and fascination with the play of light.
