This workshop will take place in the dark skies of Lassen Volcanic National Park located about three hours north of Sacramento. You’ll receive instruction and learn how to set up a composition before nightfall. Then we’ll start creating images at sunset and keep shooting as late as people would like. Participants can make their own hotel reservation anywhere near our location or work with Joe to arrange camp sites. Most likely Joe will try to reserve several sites at a super nice campground located just outside the park's main entrance. Joe Fischer is a landscape and underwater photographer who specializes in the art of low-light and technical photography. His work as an instructor has taken him around the world where he teaches people how to use cameras under some of the most demanding conditions — underwater. On land he specializes in capturing the scenic beauty of California as well as migratory birds each year. Some of his work can be seen on display inside the California Energy Commission and the California Dental Association in Sacramento.
