Your Instructor: David L. Robertson
I have been interested in photography since college, where I learned how to develop my own negatives and to print black and white images. My photographs tend to reflect strong graphical elements and simplicity; regardless of subject matter. They have been described by NYC photographer and friend—Jay Maisel—as reflecting solitude, without loneliness. I have previously taught more than a dozen workshops on Lightroom, Photoshop, printing and B&W conversion at Viewpoint and at various photography groups in the Sacramento region. I have also had several solo and group exhibits of my photographs, including a solo exhibit at the Pence Gallery in Davis (January 2008), a group exhibit at Viewpoint (May 2009), and a two-person exhibit in Roseville (May 2010). Another two-person exhibit is scheduled for the Grants Pass Museum of Art in Oregon (October 2011).
