The building blocks for creating meaningful photographs have remained unchanged since light was first "imprisoned" by Louis Daguerre more than a century and a half ago. Form and contrast must unify to produce a meaningful and compelling composition. In this workshop, Professor Nathan will discuss and demonstrate the principles of photographic composition.
Your Instructor: Terry Nathan
Terry Nathan is a professor in the Art/Science Fusion Program at UC Davis, where he teaches "Photography: Bridging Art and Science." He also has taught landscape photography workshops in California and Texas. Terry has served as juror and judge for art exhibitions and he has been invited to speak on the art, history, science and practice of photography at several national symposia. Terry's fine art work, which centers on architecture, landscape, documentary and art/science fusion, has been published in a variety of magazines and shown in several national juried exhibitions.
