Professor/photographer, Terry Nathan shares his insights and observations on the art ofLandscape photography, which has occupied a prominent place in the history of photography since its inception.


Terry will review the techniques and evolution of landscape photography from the 19th century to the present, from the ethereal to the majestic to the haunting. Iconic works by Timothy O’Sullivan, Ansel Adams, Robert Adams, and Edward Burtynsky are among those that will enlighten, rouse, and inspire. Terry Nathan headshot

Terry Nathan is a professor in the Art/Science Fusion Program at UC Davis, where he teaches "Photography: Bridging Art and Science." He also has taught landscape photography workshops in California and Texas.  Terry has served as juror and judge for art exhibitions and he has been invited to speak on the art, history, science and practice of photography at several national symposia. Terry's fine art work, which centers on architecture, landscape, documentary and art/science fusion, has been published in a variety of magazines and shown in several national juried exhibitions.
