Dec. 6, David Robertson Lightroom is one of the most powerful and versatile programs for organizing, processing, and outputting your images. All four Lightroom workshops address many of the advantages and questions regarding the various modules.


Adobe Lightroom LogoIn this workshop, we will spend time doing a quick review of all of Lightroom's modules, explaining their functions, and how they can be useful to your workflow. Then we will concentrate on organizing your images using the Library module to keyword, sort, rate, edit, and search your photos. We will be covering creating a metadata template for your pictures, how to import; how to export, creating export templates; folder structures; creating collections; backup strategies, and more. After this class, you will never have trouble locating an image again!

  • There will be two 10-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch break.
  • Hand-outs will be provided, please be prepared to take notes.
  • Have the latest version of Lightroom loaded and ready to go on your computer. If you are using an older version, some items may not be available i.e., texture, dehaze, etc.
  • Have at least 10 raw images ready to use on a media card.



Farrell Scott is a Sacramento based photographic artist and instructor interested in the exploration of architecture, urban landscape and agriculture. To challenge herself photographically, she enjoys exploring the water ways of Sacramento and Yolo creating night images any time of year or weather.  In 2019, she completed a month long artist in residence program at GilsfjördurArts in Westfjords, Iceland, where she concentrated on long and double exposure techniques using neutral density filters.

Recognized for the natural light quality of her images and designer eye when it comes to composition. She strives in her work to both maintain the artistic perspectives and characteristics of traditional photography as well as incorporate innovative technology.   

Armed with over 25 years of marketing and design experience, Farrell approaches every enterprise from a marketer’s understanding and an art director’s keen eye. Her varied background and travels all make their way into her work. 

Farrell is a regular workshop instructor at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento and Viewpoint Photographic Art Center in Sacramento, and holds a degree in Theatre and certification in Photography.
