Processing Digital Images in Lightroom

Registration is closed for this event
The purpose of this workshop is to show attendees all of the tools available in Lightroom for improving the original digital capture. In other words, we concentrate on Lightroom's powerful Develop Module.

Attendees will be shown a specific workflow that provides an efficient and consistent method of applying the various tools to an image so that the final result is predictable and matches one's vision for a particular image. This session will also explain how to use "plug-ins", such as:

  • Photomatix (for HDR images),
  • Nik SilverEfex Pro (for black and white conversions).
  • Photoshop (for stitching panorama images).

Your Instructor: David L. Robertson

I have been interested in photography since college, where I learned how to develop my own negatives and to print black and white images. My images tend to reflect strong graphical elements and simplicity, regardless of subject matter, and have been described by NYC photographer and friend, Jay Maisel, as reflecting solitude, without loneliness. I have previously taught workshops on Lightroom and Photoshop at Viewpoint and at various camera clubs in the Sacramento region. I have also had several solo and group exhibits of my photographs, including a solo exhibit at the Pence Gallery in Davis (January 2008) and a group exhibit at Viewpoint (May 2009).
