Your Instructor: David L. Robertson:
I have been interested in photography since college, where I learned how to develop my own negatives and to print black and white images. My photographs tend to reflect strong graphical elements and simplicity: regardless of subject matter. They have been described by NYC photographer and friend, Jay Maisel, as reflecting solitude, without loneliness. I have previously taught more than a dozen workshops on Lightroom and Photoshop at Viewpoint and at various photography groups in the Sacramento region. I have been a Lightroom instructor for the Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures in New Mexico, Maine, California, and Colorado. I have also had several solo and group exhibits of my photographs, including a solo exhibit at the Pence Gallery in Davis (January 2008), a group exhibit at Viewpoint (May 2009), a two-person exhibit in Roseville (May 2010) and another two-person exhibit at for the Grants Pass Museum of Art in Oregon (October 2011).
