Aaron Vizzini is a wilderness landscape photographer who finds inspiration in the places he hikes. It's not road signs that direct him but rather trail markers; a dirt path has often been his guide to the places he visits.
On any given weekend, chances are he is somewhere hiking. No matter the season, whether on boots, snowshoes, or crampons, he finds ways to discover the landscapes that surround him. He is just as happy strolling through a redwood grove as climbing a 14,000 foot volcano, always looking for the next landscape to admire and photograph.
BIO: Aaron currently works as a software engineer in Sacramento. He’s originally from Pennsylvania where he attended Saint Francis University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After graduating from Saint Francis University in 2014, he continued his studies at ESIGELEC, an engineering school in Rouen, France. There he obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Systems. He studied and worked in France until 2017, living in Rouen and Toulouse.
It was at Saint Francis University where, by chance, he signed up for a photography class simply to fullfill an art requirement for his degree, unaware at the time how much of an impact that class would have. Thanks to an inspiring art professor, he pursued photography throughout college. It provided an artistic escape from the science classes that were part of his normal studies.
Photography has been a large part of his life over the past 9 years. Digital photography is his primary medium although, he has branched out to film and darkroom printing in recent years, finding new ways to explore this art.
