Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization, offers several levels of membership to meet the needs of our diverse community. Viewpoint provides a community for photographic artists in which photographers can connect with and be invigorated by others who share their passion for photography.
Viewpoint Photographic Art Center is sustained by our annual membership contributions, fundraisers and workshop programming. We invite you to become a member of Viewpoint and enjoy all of the benefits of membership.
All members enjoy these benefits:
Artist's Receptions: Viewpoint hosts an Artist's Reception each month for the opening of a new exhbit on the Friday prior to 2nd Saturday (see dates under the Exhbits page). The reception provides members an opportunity to view the current show, meet exhibiting artists, enjoy refreshments and socialize. Viewpoint participates in 2nd Saturday receptions each month, which are open to the public and provide visitors with a first glimpse of the exhibited art. Talks, demonstrations, or other events are held in conjunction with the receptions for many shows.
Print & Portfolio Nights: Members-only Print & Porftolio Nights are held on the first and third Wednesday respectively of each month. This is one of Viewpoint's most popular and important member programs. Print and Portfolio Nights allow members to gather to show, discuss, and receive feedback on prints and projects in a casual, friendly environment. Prints may be color or black and white, digital or darkroom, finished or in progress. The first Wednesday Print Night is intended to focus on individual prints and the third Wednesday Portfolio Night focuses on projects and portfolios. Print & Portfolio Night attendance is limited, please see the web site for details on how to register each month. Guests are welcome to attend one time as a non-member. Field Trips: Viewpoint sponsors photographic outings to a variety of locations once or twice a year. Often, places visited are those where individual photographers would not normally be admitted. Field trips offer a chance to socialize with other photographers while exploring a new or familiar site in search of images.
Business Meetings: Viewpoint Board of Directors business meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. If you would like to speak to the Board about a predesignated topic, please contact Roberta McClellan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special Presentations (Membership Meetings): Viewpoint presents lectures, discussions, and social events for the membership on the fourth Wednesday of the month several times a year. These presentations are free to members. In December, Viewpoint hosts its Annual Gift Print Exchange. This fun event is held on the third Wednesday of December in place of the Portfolio Print Night.
Exhibiting Work: As a Viewpoint Photographic Art Center member, you have formal and informal opportunities to show your work:
· Monthly Print Nights on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
· Annual Members Show featuring work from Viewpoint members.
· Viewpoint’s Step Up Gallery. This is a “members-only” gallery exhibiting ten shows a year of Viewpoint members work. Exhibit proposals are submitted and juried during Viewpoint’s annual Call for Entries (June - August).
· Portfolio Drawer Memberships. Subject to availability, members wishing to have prints in the gallery full-time for viewing and sale can become Portfolio Drawer level members. For details about Portfolio Drawer memberships, click here.

· Regular: $65
· Senior (62+): $50
· Student: $20
· Family (2-4 family members): $80
· Contributor (Includes a Reg. membership + $55 donation): $120
Monthly Donation Membership:
When you sign up for a minimum monthly donation of just $25 ($300 total for the year), you will receive a Family Membership with all the benefits. To participate in this program, you may simply arrange a monthly auto-payment with your bank to Viewpoint Photographic Art Center (in the Note section please state: Monthly Donation Program), or you may send in your check each month. Portfolio Drawer Membership:
This membership is limited to current Viewpoint members, only. The annual fee for a Portfolio Membership is in addition to the standard annual membership fee (levels listed above).
· $100 for either a 16” x 20" x 3” or a 20" x 24" x 3” Regular drawer
· $125 for either a 24” x 30" x 3” or a 24” x 38" x 3” Large drawer
There are 54 regular and 18 large drawers, which are located in the Main Gallery. Regular drawers become available several times per year. Large drawers become available less often. Portfolio Drawer prints are available in Viewpoint’s online store (for viewing only), in the bins on the gallery floor and are rotated on the walls in the Portfolio Gallery. Viewpoint hosts quarterly
