Ric Horner has produced photographic art on the cutting edge of technology since getting his MFA in photo/video synthesis from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 1980. He has worked as an independent producer, art director and project manager in the multimedia industry and his photo-paintings are shown and collected nationally. Hornor produced special effects for early MTV media and was a founder of professional digital media organizations including NY SIGGRAPH and The New Media Masters. He developed college curriculum for multimedia and has taught Photoshop at Sierra College for the last ten years. From 2004-2010 Ric restored over 1200 19th Century photos included in 5 independently published Golden History Books. Ric has shown his photographic art in exhibitions internationally and solo shows in the US. His large scale cibachrome portraits of scientists and inventors make up The Hall of Inventors in a permanent exhibition at Infomart Technology Center in Dallas, TX. Hornor's series of Mindscapes was exhibited at Viewpoint Gallery in 2009. His work may be seen in the VP portfolio members collection.
