The annual Viewpoint Members’ Exhibit, a long-time tradition at Viewpoint, is always exciting for the quality and range of photographic art it showcases. Because the exhibit is not juried and includes a single print from each participating artist, the exhibit highlights the diversity of techniques, approaches, and personal visions in our photographic community.
Over the years, the Members’ Exhibit has reflected the shift from traditional to digital techniques by many photographers, but Viewpoint members continue to explore the gamut of photographic options – including traditional black-and-white darkroom printing, alternative processes such as wet plate collodion and platinum/palladium printing, hand coloring, digital compositing, and hybrid traditional/digital workflows – in their pursuit of creative expression through photography.
(A reminder to members planning to pick up their prints from the gallery after the exhibit closes on August 4: Please plan to pick up your prints no later than August 25. Thanks!)
