Introduction to Cinematic Techniques for Still PhotographersThe difference between fine art photographers and the average snap shooter is visualization. Being able to view a subject in front of the camera, pre-visualize it, then create a finished image that represents, translates, or transforms that subject graphically or emotionally is what separates us from the casual photo enthusiast. In this workshop Jo Ann & George Aiello will introduce you to some of the same cinematic techniques and tools that movie directors and cinematographers use in film making to turn what is in front of the camera into your vision for the finished image. As Jo Ann says, "The idea is to preserve as many options as you can when creating images in the camera and increase your options when processing those images later on." To this end, you will learn new in-camera techniques, settings, plug-ins, and workflows that will help you unlock and achieve your creative vision like never before. |
